SAN FRANCISCO, California – The University of San Francisco (USF) has announced two new specialized certificate courses that will help businesses increase their internet marketing success: Advanced Search Engine Marketing and Advanced Mobile Marketing.
The classes are taken online and taught by experts in internet marketing. Classes are taught over an 8-week period.
“Search engine marketing (SEM), which includes vital strategies such as paid search (PPC) and search engine optimization (SEO), is providing tremendous compensation opportunities for ambitious Internet marketing professionals,” said Joe Laratro, a USF faculty member and expert on SEM.
Laratro further commented on the benefits of the program, stating that “most SEO practitioners are self-taught but those marketers with the top credentials and skill sets – which they can develop in this first-of-its-kind SEM program – will have the best chance of claiming high-paying spots at leading companies. Advanced Search Engine Marketing brings them much closer to making their professional goals a reality through the convenience of 24/7, video-based e-learning.”
Advanced Search Engine Marketing is a great tool for businesses and entrepreneurs to expand on their online success. It teaches them different aspects of SEO and pay per click (PPC) services as well as how to market their firm on the web successfully.
The Advanced Mobile Marketing class is also a cutting-edge course that helps firms to further increase their revenue and popularity. With over 450 million people using mobile phones in the past year alone, many companies are structuring their sites to be mobile-friendly. Those who participate in this program will learn how to be proficient in mobile marketing campaigns, how to analyze campaign metrics, as well as other useful skills.
Salt Lake City, UTAH – The President of SEO.com steps down to take a new position with Desert Digital Media.
David Bascom, CEO and President of SEO.com announced his resignation on Monday but will continue to be part-owner of the company and act as an advisor.
“I helped build this company to a point where it’s established,” said Bascom. “SEO.com has an amazing team and incredible leadership…I’m confident SEO.com will have even more success in the future.”
Bascom created the company, originally named Web Targeted, in 2003 from his basement. He renamed the company in 2007 with Mike Mann and obtained the SEO.com domain. Since then, it was all uphill.
SEO.com helps clients improve the traffic to their sites by providing highly aggressive SEO strategies, pay per click management and other techniques that improve the success of businesses. Their clients include both small business owners and Fortune 100 companies.
Mann will now become the acting CEO of the company and he has named Nelson James, former vice president of client services, as the president.
The company has received numerous accolades since its creation. It was named one of the top 10 SEO firms in the nation by PromotionWorld and the Number 2 SEO firm by Website Magazine, just to name a few.
“I want to thank Dave for bringing SEO.com to where it is today,” said Mann. “He has done an incredible job. His efforts to date have, and will, perpetually benefit the charities we support, which is extremely important and the main impetus for all of my work. With Nelson, we will carry on the tradition of providing great results for clients, and we will continue to grow.”
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – Ephricon Web Marketing has hired two new SEO Account Managers to help improve their clients’ SEO tactics and business flow.

Ephricon Web Marketing is an SEO internet marketing company that operates in Baltimore, Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina. Ephricon helps clients improve their search engine optimization and e-commerce solutions. The company was created in 2003 and has since become one of the top SEO marketing firms in the Mid-Atlantic United States.

As co-SEO Account Managers, Kashmer and Zimmerman will manage between 8 to 10 clients, helping them improve their websites and SEO strategies such as keywords, rank and traffic to their individual sites.
Company founder and president Jon Payne will be overseeing all client accounts but Kashmer and Zimmerman will ultimately be responsible to keep track of their client’s sites on a daily basis.
“With our new approach, I get to be involved with every single campaign we manage, yet I’m not the sole set of eyes and ears on any one campaign,” said Payne. “Our new team process will help us to get more done for each client…”I couldn’t be more excited about the future of our SEO agency and the fantastic results our clients will continue to see as a result of these two additions.”
